Perks of Being a Senior
                                                          - arabells

There’s no such thing as easy. Being a college senior student is so hard. There are so many things that you can’t imagine you can do before. But I guess if it is needed, even you can’t at first, eventually you will.

NO TO SLEEP

When I was a kid I so hated to sleep but now I’m dying for it. Lols.

Sleepless nights, it so in demand when you are a college student. More overnights and more paper works to do!!!

SOOOOO EXHAUSTED

Even you are tired or what, when there are still school stuffs to do you can't have that rest.

STUDY AND REVIEW

I know lot of you can relate on this. On high school days, may be some are reviewing their notes but mostly they're not. But when you became a college, you need to do all of these in order to survive your chosen career.

But always remember, all these things will be worth it when we reach our goals someday.
RABONG/LABONG
                     - arabells

”Rabong” or labong in Tagalog, is another Ilocano Cuisine. I know it is not familiar to all. So here are the procedures needed in preparing for the delicious Labong of Ilocanos.

Ingredients:
3 cups labong – sliced, boiled for 30 minutes and drained
fried fish – it can be bangus (milkfish) or besugo or tilapia or any fried fish (own choice)
saluyot
1/2 cup fish bagoong
pinch of magic sarap
3 cups of water

Procedure:
a. Bring water to boil. Add the bagoong, labong, fish and magic sarap. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
b. Add the saluyot, let it boil and simmer for 2-4 minutes.

After that it's ready to serve. Hope you enjoy the Ilocano's Labong <3 <3
Ilocano Cuisine:
Bagnet, Pinakbet and Dinengdeng
                         - arabells

Search for good food???? Go north!!

Bagnet is a deep fried pork dish submerged in boiling oil several times until it becomes crispy all over.  It’s served with a dipping sauce made of fish bagoong, tomatoes and red onions, or a dipping sauce of soy sauce, vinegar and chili.

Pinakbet or Pakbet is a classic Ilocano vegetable dish stewed in fish bagoong. Native vegetables, like okra, string beans and camote are typically used.

Dinengdeng an Ilocano people of the Philippines, similar to pinakbet. It is classified as a bagoong soup based dish. Unlike pinakbet, dinengdeng contains fewer vegetables and contains more bagoong soup base.
The dish contains the following vegetables: jute leaves, the pods and leaves of the horseradish tree, the leaves and fruits of bitter melon, the calabaza squash and blossoms, alakon blossoms, amaranth leaves, sweet potato tubers and leaves, kabatiti gourd, string beans and shoots, talinum, chayote squash and shoots, chili peppers, banana blossoms, corn, West-Indian pea blossoms, tabungaw gourd, winter melon, eggplant, okra, winged bean, parda beans, lima beans, various mushrooms like oyster mushrooms, whole taro, cassava tubers, purple yams, and wild potatoes.

Planning to visit a place on North? Don't missed the chance to have a taste of their own kind of vegetable dish!
